Hey there.
I'm planning to buy a new MacBook Pro, the basic version, i5 2,3GHZ, 8 GB RAM and 123GB SSD.
Here's my question. Is it ok for video editing? I'd love to use softwares like PP, AE, FCPX.
Let me know :)

Windows Machines do just fine for video editing as well. For that price, you can pick up a decent laptop with an 95 and a GTX1080 i think....?

Do you have to be mobile for the video editing? if not, look into a Windows desktop with an i5 and a 1070 or 1080... Unless you are a hardcore content creator, those specs should b fine (16gb RAM MIN. though)

Typically, 4k, especially video editing/rendering, requires a desktop with a dedicated graphics card. That doesn't mean you can't do it, but the machine won't be able to do it very quickly (i.e. what would take 5 minutes on a desktop may take over an hour on the laptop).
