Question Macbook Pro SSD upgrade

I want to do a fresh installation of OS X el capitan on a new 850 EVO.

Will microsoft office programs be reinstalled or do I have to retrieve the serial number?

Any suggestions?

If you do a fresh install you would normally need serial numbers.

Rather than a fresh install, why not clone your current drive onto the SSD then switch them? This is the normal SSD upgrade path

Can I swap the HDD to SSD , then temporarily replace the optical drive with the old HDD to transfer?

Where can I retrieve the serial numbers?

If you buy an SSD it will likely come with cloning software (or there's programs you can download for free) - you clone your OS HD onto the SSD (you may need an external drive caddy attached by USB to put the SSD in, but again you can buy kits with the SSD to do this) then once the cloning is done, you take out the HD and fit the SSD in its place

No need to 'transfer'
