My Macbook pro was not starting and would stay on this black screen with a bunch of white words that I don't know anything about. But I finally fixed it by erasing the hd and reinstalling os x. Now it works but every time I power it on that black screen with encryptions or whatever it is comes up before going to the login screen. It bothers me because the first time i got this mac it would never do that when I turned it on. The first thing that would come up is the apple screen then login but now that black screen with random words comes up all the time. The macbook works fine though I just don't know what that black screen with the words is and i want to get rid of it.

Solution
It looks as if, for some reason, your Mac has been configured to boot in Verbose Mode. This link shows you how to switch that off: http://www.ernieflores.net/osx-page-3/always-boot-mac-os-x-in-verbose-mode/
