Question Macbook Pro won't display

I've got this Macbook Pro (A1278) that won't display even after replacing the LCD. When it turns on you hear the normal Mac OS chime and the back light seems to come on for a second and then goes off.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm waiting on the thunderbolt adapter to come in.
Any other ideas In the meantime?
