[SOLVED] Machine Check Exception on Acer V3-772G-9820

Hello everyone!

I've got a big problem on my Acer laptop, and I'm hoping the experts can give me a hand here:

• Can't start Windows 10 outside of safe mode (reboots before sign-in appears);
• Can't install a fresh copy/repair Windows 10, I get a Machine_Check_Exception BSOD.
• Can run a prime95 stress test. Done it for at least 10 minutes at 90% CPU and RAM use without BSODs.
• When booted (in safe mode with networking), using Chrome to browse, say Youtube, quickly triggers a Machine_Check_Exception.

Also, in case this is important, about a month ago I changed my CPU's thermal paste for liquid metal and cleaned its fan. My temps dropped dramatically, CPU from 90-95º C to 75-80º C and GPU from 90ºC to 75ºC.

Laptop: Acer Aspire V3-772G-9820;
Processor: Intel Core i7-4712QM;
RAM: 8 GB of DDR3L;
HD: 1 TB 2.5-Inch 5400 RPM;
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M.

After extensive research I was convinced it was a CPU issue, so I ordered an I5-4210M from China (via Aliexpress) and replaced the CPU.

Problem solved, indeed it was a faulty CPU.
