Question Machine won’t post after changing the gpu

Hi guys, recently tried upgrading the graphics card of my dell xps 8500 from a gtx 560 to gtx 1660. After installing the new gpu however, the pc now refuses to post. Theres a solid yellow led on the motherboard when powered on, and the four consecutive beeps that keeps repeating until I power off the machine. I tried reinstalling the old gpu, and even no gpus at all, but the same yellow light and beeps. Is my motherboard dead? Appreciate the help!

16 gb ddr3
i7 3770

4 beeps is a RAM problem. Try reseating the RAM and booting with the old GPU.

I'd suggest updating to the latest A14 BIOS from 2018, because early UEFI implementations like your A09 from 2012 frequently had issues with later Hybrid BIOS cards.

Thank you so much! I reseated all four ram sticks and that seems to have fixed the issue. Just a bit confused since I didn’t touch the them at all. I’ll be sure to update the bios later.
