Ok so power goes out for half a second. Computer goes down. Start it back up. Keyboard doesn't work. Mouse still works, usb headphones still works, speakers still work, all my USBs other than the keyboard still work.

Things I have tried:
Connecting other keyboards, doesn't work
Reinstalling and updating all the USB drivers, doesn't work
Running troubleshooting, doesn't see a problem
Turning off computer and turning it on, doesn't work
Turning off computer with all the USB disconnected and then re connecting them once on, doesn't work
Going into settings and checking them, nothing strange
Tried to uninstall and then reinstall the MadCatz driver, the install process will not finish because it does not detect the device but there's a twist... The device manager does recognize the keyboard.

I have at this point read through many forums and other people's problems and have no idea what is happening. The computer wasn't in the middle of an update, I have control of other USBs just not keyboards. I assume it had something to do with keyboard settings but I can't figure it out.

So as always I turn to Tom's hardware. What ideas do y'all got for me this time. What am I missing. Thank you in advance for the help. I appreciate it.

Update:

The keyboard does work in BIOS and in safe mode but still not normal windows 10

I figured it out it was from a windows update 2 weeks ago I uninstalled it.

Not sure why an already installed Windows update (functioning for a week before the problem) would cause the problem but sure enough everything works now that it's uninstalled.
