Do you have to follow the sport American Football to enjoy playing Madden
2005? Because I don't know anything about the sport its just that the
ratings for it has been so high. 92% in gamerankings.com

Sean,

You don't necessarily have to follow football to play madden, but just
remember there will be a very steep learning curve as you not only have to
learn the controls, but the sport's general rules as well. You might want
to try an older NFL game like 2003, or 2002 to see if the sport interests
you before laying out the cash for the latest and greatest.

I don't know if NFL 2k5 is out where you live, but Sega is selling the game
for $20 US if you don't want to buy an older game.

I grabbed Madden 2000 years ago. Played a few seasons on my PS2 back then
and it happened: I became a huge football fan. I subscribed to NFL Sunday
Ticket, bought an HDTV set and an HDTV receiver to get a better experience
watching football. I'll try to save enoigh money to travel to St-Louis next
year to see the Rams... So, be careful: buying Madden can be a lot more
expensive than you think! LOL

I still prefer ESPN NFL 2K5, but that's a personal opinion!
