Im wondering if there's anything I overlooked or could be done better/ compatibility issues that dont show up in pcpartpicker
I plan on overclocking later, and buying a NZXT Kraken X62 cooler (or some other cooler, will see.).

Also hesitating to buy a new case (NZXT H500 Black), but I can always move the parts if I wanted to :)
If you have any suggestions on the cooler & case those are also welcome :)

The parts that are bold are the ones I am going to buy, I already have the rest.
Willing to spend a bit more if its needed and more 'value for the buck'

I am kinda confused as to which motherboard I should buy, since I just heard that you need a ryzen 2k to upgrade. Which one would you guys recommend me for 3700x OC? Also, I was thinking about just buying a b450 Tomahawk since that would suffice aswell right? Or should I go for the x470 since I am OC'ing in the future?

If overclocking it might be better going for a good X570 motherboard, but from what I'm hearing I'm not sure if overclocking the Ryzen 3000s are of that much benefit as PBO is can do very well.
Hmm, but theyre so expensive though, atleast one hundred euro more expensive here. At that point I could better get a 3800x right? 😄
Why would it be better to go for a x570 when overclocking actually? I think ive seen other people using b450 or x470's

The 3800x is probably not worth the extra cost, vs a 3700x. You would have to do a bios update, with x470. That board does not support bios flashback, so you would need an older gen ryzen cpu, to update the bios. I would recommend a better quality power supply, regardless. Or just go with an x570.

Thanks for your input! After researching for a bit I've decided to go with the MSI B450 Tomahawk. I was hesitating either way, but now that I know I can just flash it without a CPU its a nobrainer for me. I've compared it with around 6 other mobo's, and this is perfect for my needs (and my wallet)
It also says it is okay for a highly OC'd 3700x, so thats a good thing ( http://prntscr.com/od8yqf )

Other than that, what exactly do you mean with a better quality power supply?

Those old CX units do not use quality components, and are know to be failure prone. The newer CX650m is a much better model. TXM and RmX being better yet. Seasonic Focus gold, or Evga G2/G3.
Ah didnt know that, Ive actually had them since I built this computer in 2013 and never had a problem 😅
