i've just finished a build with the msi mag b650m mortar wifi and everything is runnning smooth.

i've installed windows and everything else, but i have this issue.

when the pc ask for a restart or i try to restart the pc, it won't restart and the debug LED of the DRAM lights on, so i have to use the power button to shut down and restart manually my pc. i don't understand what's going on.

the bios is the stock version of the motherboard so maybe needs an update.

i have yet to try to test a single ram stick, maybe it's a faulty ram stick causing the problem.

does anyone have or had the same problem and have a solution to share or someone has an idea of how to fix this issue?

I've noticed in Bios that the ram was at 1.1v and I tried to put at 1.2 v and now I can exit from Bios without having to manually reboot the pc.
Yet I can't reboot through windows

My system:

MSI MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI
AMD Ryzen 5 7600
2x16 gb DDR5-6200 Viper Patriot
AMD Radeon Rx 6750 xt

Bios version: E7D76AMS.A10
Bios build date:19/10/2022

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You have BIOS updates pending. Try that and see if the issue is alleviated.

Once you've verified that the BIOS has been successfully flashed to the latest, make sure you've cleared the CMOS. In order to do so, disconnect from the wall and display then remove the CMOS battery from your board, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds and then replace the battery after 30 minutes.

Thanks for the quick answer!
I was thinking about updating the bios, but I'm afraid that at the point where the pc will try to reboot (and probably fail) this will brick the motherboard and corrupt the bios leaving me with a dead pc
(Sorry for bad English, it's not my native language)

Your motherboard has a BIOS flash/recovery button to help flash the BIOS in the event that the BIOS is corrupted. Refer to page 51 in your motherboard's manual.

Thank you for this information.
So basically I can use the BIOS button to try to update the BIOS avoiding the risk of failed reboot?
And in case of failed reboot I can try to recover the original BIOS?
Update:
after updating bios and testing the ram sticks i resolved the problem changing the ram sticks.
One or both were faulty
