Ok. I am not savy at this so I hope some can help. I currently have a ATT Uverse modem which is located on the 2nd floor of my home. I am switching my phone coverage to Magic Jack, which requires an ethernet connection. My dilemma is that the base phone that I have is on the 1st floor and I do not want to move it to the 2nd floor. I have a second modem that I could hook up - a Cisco Linksys WRT120N. Does any one know of a way that I can hook up the Cisco wirless router on the 1st floor, as an extender and run my magic jack phone adapter to the ethernet port on it and leave my uverse modem on te 2nd floor?

Solution
Do you have a telephone jack near the router. You can plug the magic jack into the wall and your phone into any other jack and it will work. Make sure you disconnect the wires going outside the house to the phone company.
