Hello,
I have an magicolor 2200 with an corrupted bios.
It happened when i tried to replace the 128mb SdRam with another of 256mb.
Could somebody help me on how to make it work again?
I already tried Parallel and Lan flashing (not possible because the printer auto reboots every 10sec).
please help me!

i fixed it!

Printer must be swithed off before doing this!

i had an com2jtag (direct cable) from an old pc
image: http://www.voti.nl/common/AVR-serial-JTAG.jpg
connected it to the printer 10pin JTAG port and to a serial(COM) port

installed TeraTerm software (the first i found on the web)

open: TeraTerm

click: setup
serial port... (old notebooks COM1=DEFAULT)
[FOR NEW ONES BUY USB2COM ADAPTER]
BAUD RATE : 115200
click: OK
click: file
click: send file
select the file you want to send (go where it is situated on your pc)
(mc2200dl.exe or mc2200.pc [~9mb])

after sending finishes wait 2 more min.

disconnect cable from printer,

switch on the printer and wait.

after some time it should install the firmware and autoreboot.

AT LEAST THIS WORKED 4 ME.
Have a good day everybody
