I have low vision and i woud like to use the Magnifier in win 7 and possibly in win 11 of my laptop, I installed if from the ease and access folder and after rebooting i see almost a full screen of it civerubg my desktop screen, which prevents me to use my cursor for other options before even using it. I eventually minimizsed abd still it plays havoc as i am trying to open other sites. I am not too savvy with this app and wonder how i can control it instead of controlling me? I see no icons expressing "how too's
how to's"

I don't remember the Windows 7 magnifier defaulting to full-screen like the Win 10 and Win 11 ones do, but what you want is the "docked view" which you can switch to using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + D

The interface has no ribbons or icons or buttons so everything is done using keyboard shortcuts. For a full list of them see here

I never liked the Magnifier supplied with Windows so always used an app which runs in a Window. In my case it was Lens 2.03 by Ned Konz, July 1995 which I used since the Win9x days.
