I think that in the offer details it says that materials sent in for the
rebate will not be returned. You might want to make a backup of the disc
before you send it in.

You should get it back, I guess.. Otherwise they would request all 3 CDs,
and not just the first one.

Tell us more about your specs, but with that MX 440 it would be hardly
playable with moderate details at 1024x768 resolution.. I'm talking about
real playability (define yours) and not "35 fps is enough for everyone". I
can only make the best of me when I get 60-70 fps.. Your mileage may vary.

No, you won't get it back. Some marketing grunt in the UK has decided to do
it differently from the rest of the world. We have to send a CD back, which
means you are forced to use a back up if you want to install UT2003 on
another PC. Not everyone has a CD burner of course, and who would buy UT2003
from you if you only have a back up copy of the CD.

They are just being deliberately awkward. You shouldn't have to cripple the
usability of a previous game, to get a rebate on the next one.

I like keeping my old games (in original condition), so like many others,
I'll be forced to do without a rebate.

I had a second copy as the kids scratched the first. Guess which one
is going back.

They are doing it the same way in the US.

It must be our continental European friends who only have to send back the
cover of the manual then? Meltdown?

Martin enlightened us with:

I don't know - I know there is a rebate thing possible in Germany, and
IIRC you indeed only have to send in the manual cover. I've got a letter
to Infogrames Benelux laying ready, and I'll post it tomorrow morning.
If people want to read it (and they can read Dutch), it's on
http://www.unrealtower.org/files/brief_infogrames.pdf.
