Mail-in rebates on pc part picker?

On my part picker list it says a bunch of my components have mail-in rebates... What are those and how do they work?

Follow the instructions that are linked very carefully and you'll be fine.

You'll just print out a page, attach the UPC, and mail it.

Ok so it's basically they send me the item by mail and when it arrives they give le the money rebated??

Example:
$100 -$10 mail in rebate
You give them $100
They send you the part
You follow their instructions exactly, and send back the information they require. Form filled out, UPC code cut from the box, etc, etc.
Assuming they get exactly what they asked for, before the deadline...eventually they send you $10 back.
Might be a check, might be a $10 prepaid gift card.
(Eventually = 2-3 months)
