Mail notifications (maybe others too) are always expanded in pop up message

I got odd problem with pop up notifications in bottom right corner when I get mail. Before I had small message where I didnt have option to delete mail or flag it, but now I always have that option in pop up. Is that something new with new windows update I got recently or my options are messed up? I really dont like this new pop up because IMO it takes too much screen space if you get few mail notifications in same time (have few mail account connected to win10 mail client). I know that if I have expanded that all notifications in action center will automatically be expanded as well, but I dont have that so I really have no idea why this happens

Im using default mail app from windows 10. its not problem that notification banner pops up when I get mail, problem is that on banner I have delete and flag buttons which are specified for extended banner which I should not have.

Im talking about notification you get when you are doing something and it pops up in bottom right corner. I already tried disabling and enabling notifications to reset it

Are you sure you have chosen all email accounts to disable notification of (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, home POP3 server, etc.)? I only have one so I'm not sure what multiple email account options in the drop down menu of accounts to select from looks like. Might need to get on a Win10 forum if you don't get better answers here.

This is what I get when I receive mail. Before it was far smaller and without those 2 buttons

Yeah you'll need to get on Windows support forums (check the FAQ first). I found nothing in a quick search other than an old Win8 complaint of something similar, and this was the answer by a Microsoft Rep:

"I would like to inform you that the position and size of the notifications is by design and cannot be changed. Hope this information is useful."

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-desktop/how-to-change-the-notification-size-and-position/5d58cefe-d364-4c8f-a9a3-dffb8a8a2bcc

Sounds like an update may have jacked something up. I'd like to know this answer myself out of curiosity (have have my email notification turned off since I get a ding from my phone).

Well thats win8 question :) I have no idea why this is happening because on laptop I dont have problem like this

Interesting you say that. I have a Win10 laptop for work and that's what I have turned off. I'd test it but it is locked up at the office until Monday AM (I do not have Win10 on my home PCs and laptops).
