Hi there, first off my setup:
3 BenQ Monitors, main one is the BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 144hz connected by DVI , and 2x 60hz BenQ Monitors connected by VGA > Display Port
ryzen 7 1700@3500MHZ
16GBDDR4@2133
Nvidia GTX 1070 jetstream ( GPU drivers up to date )
DSL: 100mbit DL/UL
As soon as i start the twitch stream while i play overwatch i can notice a major decrease of frames per second even though the game still shows 260+ FPS. so i used https://www.testufo.com/#test=framerates to test my frame rate.
When i start the test it runs with 144hz, as soon as i start the twitch stream it drops to 60hz and the test says "MAJOR STUTTERING". I tried different browsers with all addons disabled - same results.
While the test runs consistently slow ( 60-70fps ) when i am watching the stream in the active tab it stutters for a fraction of a second on pretty much every action on the other monitor ( in the same or different browser ) like switching tabs, gettings messages in facebook, playlist switching videos on youtube.
I really dont know whats causing the problem, to me it seems like an issue somewher between the GPU and the monitor since the game shows 260+FPS but its somewhere around 60 on the monitor. Maybe one of you can help me.
UPDATE: i realized that this problem only occurs while playing in borderless windowed mode, not in fullscreen. But i would really hate having to switch to fullscreen mode, because i always do stuff on my other monitors
