Question Main monitor won't turn back on when using computer after 5+ hours of being away.

So my main monitor (2017 Asus 1440p 144hz gsync) a few months ago started flickering super fast when turning it on in the morning or getting back from work. It flickered but it turned on fully within 10 seconds then worked like normal. Now when I go to turn on my monitors it will maybe give me one quick flash of the screen then go black or just stay black. It then takes about 30 minutes for it to do the flickering thing and turn on. (The second monitor works fine) Sometimes when I unplug and replug the power cable or display port cable from the monitor it will instantly start working.

It's just very strange as the monitor works perfectly fine after it gets up and running. I'm assuming this is an issue with the monitor but want to get other opinions before dropping big money on a new one.

My assumption would be the backlight is failing if it isn't showing a no video signal message.

Damn, yeah it gives no signal a lot of the time.

In that case my first suggestion would be new video cable and/or different port on the GPU (assuming).
