Mainboard Dell 0F8098 - CPU upgrade

I am using a Dell Optiplex GX 620 with the Dell mainboard 0F8098.
I would like to buy a faster cpu.
Which ones are possible?

Up to Pentium D 960 with bios A11. For the 960 a DELL Performance Heatsink J9761 is recommended to deal with the heat.

I tried an Pentium D 945 ... it works, but a Pentium D 950 doesnt ... why?
