mainboard refuses to accept any freqs except the defults

hey guys, I have an E8200 clocked at stock speeds, I once overclocked it to around 3.4 and every thing seemed to work fine, the problem occurred since I removed the discreet graphic card (at least that's what I think) changing the fsb speed by even 1 MHz results in no post,the system reboots itself and resets the CMOS settings, is it really because of the on-board graphic?

oh forgot to mention the board is a GA g31 m S2L with Intel X3100 onboard graphics.
