Hi, so i recently upgraded some of my PC parts. A new Chassis, a new R5 5600X, luckily enough, and ofc a sparkly new B550 Aorus Pro because it had all the features i wanted and i got it a bit cheaper than the normal price.
After a BIOS update everything worked fine but i noticed that one of the fans was very noisy so i entered the Aorus fan-controls and tried setting fans to silent mode. Imagine my surprise finding out that the loud-ass humming does not come from any fans or hard-drives but instead from the mainboard itself! The sound comes from directly behind the IO-shield and is very aggravating. It honestly sounds like i've got a mini-fridge under my desk.
I fully intend to RMA this board but first i want to ask: has anyone else made experiences with loud MAINBOARDS of all things? I legitimately have no idea how this can even happen. There are no moving parts or anything but when i cut the power after shut-down it powers down VERY audibly. And yes, it is 100% the mainboard and not some fan or drive.
