I've purchased this custom built desktop computer only a year ago, assembled by Maingear - (still 1 year of FULL coverage warranty left) for about $3,000. All the components are high-end, and it can run pretty much anything, Video/photo Editing, 3D tools, gaming- including the last releases.
I was planing on keeping it for a few years (hence the huge investment - I kept the bill+details), but due to unforeseen circumstances, I have t move out of the country by the end of the year.
It has great upgrade capabilities, you can easily add a GPU, ram, hard drive, etc... And the chassis does an excellent job at keeping everything ventilated.
Needless to say, it runs most games at full specs (currently playing the last Batman - Arkham City - full settings) that just came out today, runs like a charm.
