It's never mentioned in the article, so I think it's important information to add: Maingear is a Micro Center brand, just like ABS is a Newegg brand. That means individual components may or may not carry the full manufacturers' warranty, as Micro Center is a large enough company that they can purchase OEM / brown box products. However, it does guarantee that all the parts are completely standard, off-the-shelf style items that won't have any weird issues with compatibility or manufacturer lockdown.
It also means that if you see a Maingear item being sold by a third party, you're probably overpaying. Micro Center does sell some of its items on Amazon.
