So like the title says, I'm having major issues using my microphone in any kind of call on my custom PC (Windows 11). I can listen to music fine, but when I use input + output in an audio call, the connection is absolutely terrible or the other person just cannot hear me.

When I connect my wireless earbuds, we can hear each other but the quality is diabolical for both input and output. Interestingly, they work without any issues if I connected them and listen to music for example. No issues at all.

When I plug my wired headset into the back of the PC using the audio jack, the other person can't hear me at all. At the moment I'm having to use my speakers for listening to the person and my webcam mic to speak, but this is obviously not ideal and it's causing an echo in many cases where the other person can hear themselves from my speakers.

And yes, my webcam works fine for the microphone. I fiddled around with many settings but nothing has helped. I also downloaded the latest audio drivers from my MB's site but that didn't help either.

Another thing worth noting is that the audio bar is constantly moving when I check the mic input volume on Windows 11 settings, even when there is no sound in my room, that green light is constantly registering sound about 25% of the way along the bar and it seems to be flickering a little.

However, when I look at the audio bar for the webcam input it doesn't move on its own like this.

Very strange?

A few people have suggested buying a headset that uses USB connection but I'm really not convinced this is the problem, and I'd rather not waste more money just to confirm it isn't the issue.

Corsair Dominator 16GB x2
Corsair RM850e
Windows 11 home 64bit

Any kind of advice would be helpful, as this has been an ongoing issue for over a year, and I've tried multiple times to fix it. Thanks!
