Bad day so far... I purchased a laptop used and went to upgrade the drives to larger and SSDs. Everything was working fine with the laptop. I cloned the 256 OS Boot SSD and went to replace it with the cloned larger SSD. Then came the headache. I tried to unscrew the bolt holding the m.2 sata drive only to discover (after many valiant attempts with many different sized screw driver tips) I am left with a stripped screw.

Does anyone know how I can get this ssd out of the m.2 socket so I can place the new one in instead? Bad Day but hoping someone else has a solution for removing the stripped screw. I tried twisting it with pliers too. Didn't work.

Any ideas?

"I purchased a laptop used and..."

And once you get that screw out...your clone thing is not the way to proceed.
For any used system, you personally need to do a full wipe and reinstall, on whichever drive you choose.

Don't trust whatever the previous owner(s) had in there.

Full wipe and reinstall of everything.
