[SOLVED] Major Internet Issues

At around 3 PM yesterday I come back to my wired PC having no connection. I unplug my Netgear AC1900 modem/router and plug it back in after 30 seconds with still no luck. I notice that no other wired connection in the house works with my xbox, laptop, or TV. Even the wireless connection on my phone doesn’t work. It shows the internet name in settings, but when it connects the internet doesn’t work. I call Comcast and they reset it on their end multiple times and it still doesn’t work. I even factory reset the modem and have the same problems. When an Xfinity guy came here this morning he said he found no issues and it must be the modem acting up. I switch to my old modem and have the EXACT same issues. I’m really lost, can anybody help?
 
what the xfinity guy test? just the signal strength? no ip/dns testing?
check the dns server settings on the netgear?
check outage on comcast for your location?

I scheduled an appointment with a guy from Comcast and he came here today with a big handheld blinking device and said that he isn’t detecting any signal loss or outages in our area. I’m not sure what a DNS/IP test is, but the DNS light isn’t lit on the Netgear

what dns light? did the tech check the modem id with the backend? modem need to be register with the comcast

I did the Xfinity activation process along with the Netgear activation site and it luckily started working again. It’s weird that it would make me reset and go through that process. Thanks for the help
