[SOLVED] Major 'PC reset' black screen issue (help pls)

So i decided to use the PC reset option in windows settings as after a recent windows 10 update my system became unusable , stutters and lag everywhere. Reinstalled all drivers and done almost anything imaginable and nothing worked so i tried 'Reset PC' and it worked like a charm.
I chose - install from local files and keep files
Of course windows love to push their crappy updates on to you and it got to a point where i couldn't push them away any further and it force updated my system .
Now that i try to do 'PC reset' again to try and solve the same problem it seems like the reset is almost done and my screen goes black suddenly and stays like this for hrs. I have no idea what to do. Yes i can hold down the power off button and turn on my PC again and it will boot into windows normally and say 'Reset PC failed' or something but i really need to complete this reset . Any ideas ?
Other notes :

• Yes monitor is on, slight backlight illumination
• PC is running and untouched throughout the whole process
• Internet always running smoothly

You probably better off clean installing

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB (even if you don't install its still a handy boot drive

how to save info off PC if you can't get into windows

• Boot from Installer
• on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install.
• choose troubleshoot
• choose advanced
• choose command prompt
• type notepad and press enter
• in notepad, select file>open
• Use file explorer to copy any files you need to save to USB or hdd

once you copied everything off PC you want to save, clean install]

Ok this seems pretty demanding ill definitely have this as my main option rn though while i look around for more fixes

I would maybe do a reset and have PC not attached to internet as it could be trying to download updates in the final stage

which version of win 10

1. right click start
   
2. choose run...
   
3. type winver and press enter
   
4. current version is 21H1

As for the windows version im pretty sure it was 21H2 if i remember correctly is that possible ? Ill restart my system and dbl check

choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:

Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth
and press enter

SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC

I was gonna say this too.

Only reset Windows if you have no installation medium and/or no product key.

Hey i found the fix !!!!
It was not the internet but rather i had one too many cables plugged into my monitor , I have HDMI and DVI because i need both in to run my monitor on 144hz but when i took the DVI out im on the windows installing screen.
I understand this now because i had an issue when i got my first pc where when i was in my desktop i would drag my mouse over to the left and it would pass through the monitor border as if there was a 2nd monitor there although there wasn't , but in Nvidia control panel it says there were 2 until I disabled the 2nd one manually. Makes complete sense now

1. Start Startup Repair
2. Update graphics drivers
3. Run the BSOD troubleshooter
4. Use a restore point
5. Repair corrupted files and disk errors
6. Identify the Problematic driver
7. Update device driver
8. Disable hardware acceleration in browser and flash

Run the BSOD troubleshooter
BSOD errors are quite common on Windows computers. For this reason, Microsoft added a useful blue screen troubleshooter on the Settings page. You can fast restore Blue Screen of Death errors with the help of this OS tool.

1. Go Settings> Update & Security> Troubleshoot>
2. pick and start the Blue Screen troubleshooter as you seen above on picture.

#4. Use a restore point
If the problem persists, try restoring the computer to an earlier operating state with System Restore.

#5. Repair corrupted files and disk errors
If none of the above fixes worked, you can use the System File Checker, DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) tool, and the Disk Checker utility to check and repair corrupted files and disk error problems in your Windows 10.
You can run all three tools through an elevated Windows PowerShell console. Press Windows + X and select Windows PowerShell (administrator) to open PowerShell as an administrator.
