Major Problem Opening Catalyst 12.* and above

High guys,
I am having a major problem opening any ATI driver that is 12.* or above. Everytime I go to install I get "Error writing file".
I have a 5670 and I chose the 5000 series driver. I have uninstalled my drivers through the ATI uninstall and even used driversweep. Anyone have any suggestions?

Edit: My driver ceiling seems to be 11.12, That version loads with no problems. This concerns me since I am preparing a 6850 install and I don't want to hit a wall when I go to install the drivers for my new card.

just remove these ones stop computer install the 6850 restart and install the driver with the 6850 in the computer you should be able to get the 12.4
