God, I hope not. I hate Microsoft, I hate dealing with Windows and I'm *still*
anti-XBox. I could easily make cases for a merger with Sony, Nintendo or
Playmore though.

I can understand disliking Microsoft and Windows, but I am curious why
you are anti-XBox? MS has a ways to go before they are anything near a
monopoly. I for one am happy about the XBox as it not only gives Sony a
competitor, but it tends to have the best ports of multiconsole games.
Actually, of all the current manufactures in the current generation of
consoles, the one I hope Sega stays the furthest from is Sony. A
venture between Sega and Nintendo would be pretty interesting though.

Same reason as every fourteen year old, it's cool to be anti-

I just signed on to this group, I post two times and I'm already being
insulted? Excuse me for disliking the XBox, didn't know I was gonna be pinching
a nerve on that one. BTW, I'm 21. And if this is the way you're gonna treat all
my posts (which are nothing more than a reflection of my personal opinion) than
go ahead and ignore me from here on out.

According to Google you have posted here 57 times

many of those posts bitching about the Xbox or Microsoft.

My bad, your reasons for being anti-establishment are legitimate and not
based on peer pressure.

Your posts are your opinion, a reflection is left-right reversed.

Maybe including older posts I don't remember. But in the last 6 months I don't
recall posting more than 4 or 5 times here.

So you dislike me because I dislike the XBox, or you dislike me for writing
about it?

This has nothing to do with being "anti-establishment". I hate Microsoft
because Bill Gates built the company through stealing and has regularly managed
to buy his way out of answering for the comapny's poor business practices.
Windows continues to be crash-prone and difficult, and I find it hard to be
positive about the XBox. This all adds up. In any case, you have no rational
reason to pick at my posts, unless you're an offended MS employee.

>Your posts are your opinion

Fine, so let me have it.

More? There has never been a sequel to NiGHTs, and you say it about PD
like Capcom has been producing the series.

I'd be ecstatic if a sequel to NiGHTs was announced.

I'd love to see a sequel to Nights! And Panzer Dragoon Orta is one of the
XBox's few brightspots IMHO.

Ditto, but I'm praying for a cross-platform release and that at the very least
it will take advantage of the XBox's 720p capability.

Critical success does not equal market success. Saga, Nights, and Orta were
all short sellers.

Was PDS a short seller in Japan? It sold virtually nothing in the US,
but Sega produced virtually none. You can also look at it as PDS sold
through extremely quickly in the US.

Not really -- regardless of how few were produced, Sega USA only sold the
3000 or however many were fabricated. It came out so late in the Saturn's
lifespan that I think it's safe to say that everyone who wanted a copy *at
the time* got one.

There was little promotion for the game (including being seen on
shelves), so that is something of a self fulfilling prophecy.
I came to the Saturn late in its life, but early enough to be around for
that set of releases.
I didn't want PDS (I'm not an RPG fan). I did want House of the Dead,
which had similar production numbers, but which unlike PDS got slagged
critically, and there were no copies to be found in the stores near me
(I eventually got a Japanese copy, and I think it's one of the best
playing games on the Saturn, and has a certain coolness to look even if
it looks like a first gen game). It's reasonable to assume the situation
was similar for PDS, which had a positive buzz.

Same here...wanted it....but couldn't find it. 🙁
