Make a backup of stock ROM for s4?

I know most of you will tell me to go to XDA but no one on XDA helps me.

Anyways is it possible BEFORE ROOTING to make a stock ROM back up incase I ever want to full unroot and get all the stock apps that came with my sprint s4?

Reason? I am unrooting my cracked s4 to take it back for repair now and when they give me my next one I'd like to do this so I always have something to fall back on rather than spend 12 hours downloading the stock ROM from a foreign website...

Just do a factory reset in recovery and that will take you back to stock ROM?

You can not image your phone without root.

They do make apps to unroot your phone. You can then root it, create image, and then revert to image and unroot if necessary.

Then how did I download stock ROM from a website that basically unrooted my phone and installed all the sprint bloatware and samsung junk?

I did not say that you could not download an unrooted rom.

You asked if you could backup YOUR rom without having root privileges. Which lead me to assume that you wanted a backup with your current apps and settings, not a bone stock factory reset.

No... Not that. I mean to back up the stock ROM so I can just go in Odin and basically make my phone like it is when you buy it without factory reset (factory reset wont install sprint apps and bloatware even after unrooting.)
