Make a mic volume indicator?

Hi, I have a microphone and a keyboard bind to toggle the mic mute/unmute. Problem is i cant remember if i have it unmuted/muted so i keep having to go to recording devices and check if its muted. is there a way I can make an indicator such as make that toggle bind show something or have a 24/7 indicator on screen of my mic volume or SOMETHING?

I'm pretty sure that is system volume, not microphone volume.

My bad, the program Volume did the trick. Very nice program and did exactly what I needed. Thanks!

I downloaded (the first one on the list) and checked it out beforehand. It did have a "Device" option. I didn't like how it does the positioning on screen though, it makes you choose like Top, or Top/Right, etc. But, I did (quickly) test it first. I only tested the first one on the page, there are 5. I'm glad you got it working.
