Make an exact copy of a disk

Someone told me I vould make an exact copy of a Linux disk using dd. Makes sense, but what about the boot sector?

dd will make an exact copy of a disk or partition, boot sector, mbr, partition table - the lot. It will even copy the disk to a file if you want. Have a look at this article.

Best bet is to use Clonezilla. It's fast, has a ton of options, and will copy EVERYTHING.
