Make-up wipes for removing thermal paste?

Hi,

I once saw an article where someone said it was also possible to remove thermal paste using make -up wipes. my girlfriend gave me some but I'm not entirely sure if I can use them. I'll post a picture with the ingredients of the wipes.

I just built my first gaming PC but I had to remove my CPU fan after the thermal paste was already placed. CPU was running a bit more hot than usual so I figured I would buy some new paste. I don't have any alcohol that would do the job.

Cleansing agents on skin are far more gentle than what is required to clean metal surfaces. Next time your girlfriend offers you make-up wipes to remove industrial compounds, offer her some ultra-fine sanding paper to smooth her complexion.

Please tell me why you (and so many others) always try to find ways to shortcut recommended processes and don't buy solvents or cleaners when you buy thermal paste? Can you not afford the small, additional mount of money, or are there some real impediment to obtaining solvents such as Isopropyl alcohol that is freely available (and cannot be consumed) in most countries that I'm aware of.

Additionally, the same people that sell thermal paste also sells purpose-made cleaning agents. How hard is it to incluse two products in the same order rather than one?
