I recently bought 2 hard drives that are the same size plus an external enclosure. I have already cloned my old drive on both the new drives and what I was wanting to do was every week or 2 weeks make a new clone.
Sadly that take about an hour and can't be sceduled with the programs I've used. I figured an hour was wasteful in the end especially if it doesn't clone right and causes problems later. So I was wondering if there was a way to make a weekly incremental clone or if that's not possible I also heard that you can make a bootable clone then use syncing software to sync the two drives together basically making it a bootable sync. Anyway if there isn't a way of doing that with a clone any advice on making a weekly updated exact copy bootable backup would be greatly appreciated.
Also just to be clear I don't want an image I essentially want something I can hotswap out once my original hard drive dies. Something like this (drive dies>remove external drive>put in computer>drive immediately boots and ready to use>order another drive>put new drive in enclosure and backup>startover when drive dies.) I also don't want a raid since I don't want an immediate change I want at least a week so that if I delete something important it'll still be on the clone until it is backed up again.
