I have a few questions on this project that im doing for my school and it is that i would like to open up our Cafe that has been closed for quite some while and start to sell frozen meals, prepared meals etc. I got a debit card terminal and im now trying to find a merchant account provider and i also wanted to now if i might be missing anything here? I'm like 17 btw (from Canada too)

Find out what the state and local regulations you have to follow. Does selling those prepared meals constitute a restaurant? If so then you need health inspections, etc.

Talk to a lawyer and find out what you need to get a business tax id, incorporate or create an LLC. Talk to a tax professional.
