Hey all hope u can help, I tried to find some animation groups but all were
99% porn Spam that I tried. I want to know if I can take a bunch of
sequential photos with with a digital camera and play then in sequence to
make a movie. (for junior high class, animation is not my strong suit). We
are looking at making short claymation type movies

Why not take sequential photos on a digital video camera. Many have a "Time
Lapsed" or "Time interval" feature.

Check out these sites which are not porn Spam oriented:

He's trying to do ANIMATION - I'm assuming he's going to set up the shot,
then take a picture of it, set up the next shot, etc.

If that is, indeed, the case, doing it as he described is probably the best
way.

To the OP: That should work just fine. Import the images sequentially into
an editing program, set their duration to one frame, and render it out as an
AVI (or whatever format you want)

I've seen it done both ways. For me just shooting simple animations with
the "movie camera" has been easier on film, analog and digital formats.
Maybe I'm old and set in my ways.

Sure you can. Most video NLE (Non-Linear Editors) can do this (Vegas,
Premiere, etc); you basically just drop in a still, and indicate how
long it should show. I would expect even cheap "entry level" apps
would premit this, and there are also some applications out there
specifically designed for making slideshows from still images, some of
which might support what you're looking for. There are probably apps
just for this kind of animation, but I don't know of any currently..
the last one I used was "ComicSetter" on the Amiga.
