Full liquid, scalable, for both high-end production streaming and rendering, as well as AI training.


What to go with Intel X or Epyc / Thread ripper-- Im less familiar with AMD atm.

Neither. Xeon Scalable. You don't waste money on water cooling when proper air cooling is just fine. Look at things like the HP Z6 G4 or similar for ideas.

You seem to be conflating 3 functions.
"Home server" vs "high end workstation" vs "fancy looking liquid"

The home server function can be done with any hardware.
For the workstation, you want stability...as indicated above, liquid cooling is not indicated.

Yes you are right I could be more clear. A high-end work station, for the home, using server parts.

Think like home office or library. Not really a "PC".

Unless you're simply picking the most expensive part in each category "just because", it is actually pretty hard to spend $10,000 or more on a system.
And gives exactly zero performance gain vs $4k-$5k.
