Hi all,

I have a backup from a computer hard drive. If i want to restore it to another computer, what should i take in consideration regarding the other computer specifications.
Should the 2 computers have the same CPU, graphic card, HDD size..? in order to have restore successful

Thx

Same motherboard, and graphics would be the minimum. A CPU change without a motherboard change doesn't mess with a Windows install. A motherboard change can and often does.

Assuming we're talking about Windows, this is just asking for trouble. It may work but I'd highly advise against it. If you're intent on it, I'd say the prior post is on the right track. CPU, RAM, HD/SSD size/type (depending on the backup method) won't matter as much. Motherboard and GPU will likely be the biggest deal.
