Making Minecraft on AMD Dedicated Graphics.

I have looked everywhere, but I cannot find out how to make Minecraft run on my GPU not my CPU. I would love to run shaders and lots of mods on it but I need it to work on my graphics card. I have a Radeon R9 200 Series. I know that NVIDIA users can do this by right-clicking minecraft and saying run with card. If anyone has a solution please answer.

This is my processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113331. I tried adding Minecraft.exe to the 3D application settings, and I don't know what settings I should put it on. I tried Minecraft and it hasn't worked. do I have to restart my pc?

hmm, well there is an option to disable the integrated GPU in the BIOS, so if you want to mess with those settings you can.

Another thing you might be able to do (never handled an AMD APU before) is hybrid crossfire your R9 200 series graphics card with the A10 APU, I'm not sure where or how to do this and it should be easier/safer than messing with the BIOS anyway.

My HD 7870 is working with MC just fine by def, what version of java do you have? (64x or 32x, that can cause problems)? Also I'm pretty sure when you add something as a 3d app profile to CCC it auto forces it to run on the GPU if I'm not mistaken.

Also, how do you know what graphics adapter is in use? Minecraft does love to soak up CPU like its in the desert and the CPU is water. Cause if its just shitty framerate you could possibly be overheating and thats much worse. What are your full specs? Also what are your temps while playing on the GPU and CPU (Google HWMonitor or something like that and post the avg temps on both the GPU and CPU while playing.)

Also the R9 200 is pretty low end and very very slow compared to its counterparts and it, depending on the game, proforms like a APU or IG, It quite possibly could be in full use and that is your main bottleneck. Also what are your core clocks and memory clocks on it? Does it have a aftermarket cooler on it?

Edit: Also what is your AVG FPS so I can compare it to benchmarks of the same card.

Yeah, this is my video card I think you got confused: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127750. Also I can go BF4 Ultra at 60fps so thats not the problem. I have tried everything including disabling integrated graphics in the bios. I go 60fps on Minecraft without shaders, but with shaders i go 20-40 fps. The catalyst thing doesn't work idk why but it doesn't. I have my monitor hooked up to the video card and every other game works perfectly fine.

wait you have an Nvidia GTX 760? the Catalyst center is for AMD cards so that won't work... I thought you meant that your GPU was an R9 200 series graphics card.

uninstall catalyst, and reset your AMD integrated graphics drivers. Then download the latest non beta drivers from the Nvidia Geforce website, then go into your Nvidia control panel (in control panel) and look at the 3D settings, you should be able to set Minecraft to run from your 760 instead of the integrated.

Oh! That might help quite a bit, I used to have that problem! You have 32 bit java installed by accident. Just go to the java website and track down the x64 version. Then you can allocate more then one gig.

What mobo do you have? You might be able to disable IG in the BIOS.

Then its the shaderpack. If I'm not mistaken thats still in very early alpha. You said you had a 760? Then you shouldn't be using CCC. Do you have the latest NVIDIA drivers? If you dont go get them. You are also being very confusing, you say you have a r9 200 GFX card and have CCC but you also say you have a GTX 760.
