Hello, everyone!
I have Asus N551VM-FY204D
Intel Core i7-6700HQ (4-core 8-threads, 2.60 -3.50 GHz, 6MB cache)
16GB DDR4 2133MHz
1TB HDD 7200rpm, Samsung 850 Evo 250GB SSD
Nvidia GTX 960M (2GB GDDR5)
15.6" FHD IPS monitor
As much as I found on the internet, my GPU is around of the power of a desktop GTX 750 Ti, which I don't like much...nvm I got it for 3/4 of the price so it's a great laptop! :3

I searched thought the internet and YouTube and found a review of Razer Core on Linus TechTIps, but the problem is I don't have ThunderBolt 3 or any TB of that matter...

So I searched for alternative and I found some mPCIe to PCI adapters

Okay. Fine I can do that. Easy.
BUT my problem is.... is there any way to make it more portable?
I don't like the idea of having to disassemble my laptop every time I have to take it with me somewhere. I want it to be a laptop and when I get home to be able to easily dock it and use it as a desktop.
Is there anyway? I am willing to brake the bottom case if needed

Did you open up your laptop yet to see if your mini-pcie is free and not being used by a wireless card?

That GPU adapter makes me think it's only compatible with an external screen as well if you read the bottom text.

You gonna have to buy a PSU and GPU as well...

I think you woulda been better off buying a more expensive laptop with a better graphics chip in the end.

No, I haven't opened the laptop because it's unser warranty, but I kniw that there is a wireleds card which I don't mind getting rid off. It costs arpund 1350 usd and I got if for 900 usd. Great deal! In Bulgaria (the pkace I live) the 970M or 980M laptops start at 1600usd...waaay much more.. (my budget was 1000 usd)
I am just wondering if I need to plug and unplug the mPCIe thing everytime I wanted the desktop GPU power.

Yeah, but how much are GPUs and PSUs in bulgaria?

You'll need like a 970 or better GPU to really notice a difference.

You would need to unplug and replug it everytime, it'd be pretty hard to make your own docking station, but not impossible.

I think the end result is gonna be really unsatisfying though if you try it.
