Making my 3850 apg card work like it should

look i had an X800 card worked ok with the games i played like crysis & FFOW so forth but having all sorts of problems with my 3850 got the Hot patch from the manuf powercolor is a bit better but still no good with games like i have Crysis on the lowest settings and it still lockup I am open to suggestions. am waiting for the manuf to get back to me also went to ATI site but their drivers won't install

You shouldn't automatically blame lockups on the video card...

Your old X800 only runs shader model 2 and new is SM3. Everything has to work harder, including the cpu.

Unless you have an overclocked dual core cpu, you're not going to get great performance in the games you listed...
