[SOLVED] Making my laptop as a second monitor?

I'm trying to connect my laptop (MSI) as a second monitor. I'm connecting it via HDMI cable. The HDMI is connected directly into the laptop and my NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPU. My issue is that my desktop is not detecting my laptop. In the past I've used my laptop as a second monitor via wirelessly connecting it. I've stopped doing it wirelessly because the "laggy" connection to it just bothered me. Is there any solution to my issue or am I just going to have to survive on one monitor for now?

My main monitor is 144hz and my laptop is only 60hz. Not sure if this would make a difference.

Its extremely rare to find a laptop with a display in. The HDMI port is almost certainly a display out only.

Oh really? That's disappointing. Im guessing this means it's impossible to connect via HDMI?

Most likely its not going to be possible.
