Hello,

I have a fiber cable (50MB)...and i want to share my internet connection to my brother's house.

My brother's house is 80 meter away from mine, so what is the best OUTDOOR WIRELESS AP?

I have search the net and found this:

Nanostation loco m2

Is it good ? Or do i need other AP?

Or anyone has better idea to my problem ?

Regards

There are quite a few ways you could do it. Really depends on yours and your brothers needs. The Nanostation Loco M2 is probably the best outdoor AP you can find (directional that is). But this does not mean it will give a strong signal inside your brothers house. You would just have to try it and see. Also, depending on how you set things up in your house, it will put him on the same network as you (don't know if you care about that) where he can see all your computers and stuff.
Best would be to put Ethernet cable between the houses.
Next best would be to run COAX between the houses and use a HPNA 3.1 coax transceiver at each house
Next would be to use 2 Nanostation Loco M5's. One at each house to create a wireless bridge.
Last would be to use a Nanostation Loco M2 from your house and let your brother connect directly.
All the options besides the last one would require your brother to have a wireless AP at his house also.

Thnx,

He is my brother so being in same network is ok.

But in ur suggestions u said, to use 2 m5 or 1 m2 whats the differences?

Im planning to install 2 M2s in each house and bridge them, while configuring a router in his house to distribute the net from his M2

The M2's use the 2.4Ghz band where there are really only 3 non-overlapping channels, 1, 6, and 11. Thus the M2's will be competing with all the 2.4Ghz wireless in the neighborhood. If you use the M5's between the houses then they will use the 5Ghz bandwidth for the link and there will most likely be no competition for bandwidth. Then you can hook your indoor WAP to the M5's and have it distribute the wireless in each house.
I assume you have a clear line of site between houses?

I got it, thnx

The houses are 80 meters apart, but there is a building between them

Bro house----40m----a house----40m----my house
