Malfunctioning System Clock

Hi. I have an Acer Aspire One netbook with a screwed up system clock. I checked the clock batteries and replaced them for the third time now. Every time I start the computer it resets the clock to January 1st, 2001. Because of it, I cant even browse the internet because no browsers will let me because of the bad system clock. I need Help fast!!

Try updating the BIOS

No idea how you do that on a netbook but it must be possible . Try the Acer website

Didnt work. Im really worried becuause this is my school laptop and I have tons of assignments on it that are due in next week, and now Microsoft word doesnt work

There malware that make this kind of system change

try starting in safemode . Still the same?

download and instal AVAST AV and run a boot scan

Thanks dude!! It helped. I think it was malware because I did a scan with this avast thing and it detected some sort of malware
