Malignant Growth - Ideas?

I'm thinking about building a silly casual deck, and I'm just looking
for ideas. My goal is to do silly things, more than to just run people over
or create a hard "lock". If I wanted to trash my friends I'd play my
Psychatog deck; this one is all about fun. :)
So, I want to have fun with Malignant Growth:

Malignant Growth 3GU
Enchantment
Cumulative Upkeep: 1

At the beginning of your upkeep, put a growth counter on Malignant
Growth.
At the beginning of each of your opponents' draw steps, that player draws a
card for each growth counter on Malignant Growth, then Malignant Growth
deals to the player damage equal to the number of cards he or she drew this
way.

Give them a bunch of cards, and deal damage at the same time! I know
some people have used this card and tried to turn it all into damage (Black
Vise type effects) or all into "decking" the opponent (Crumbling Sanctuary).
I want to do both. My core idea is to used Malignant Growth with Mind's
Eye, Words of Worship, and Arcane Laboratory. To keep the Growth out for as
long as possible, Ferropede and Chisei, Heart of Oceans can remove the
counters to keep the upkeep low (and I could use Glacial Chasm with them,
too).
If I can keep myself alive and keep the Growth on the table, it will
take them out for me. If they have too much life, they'll run out of cards.
If they have too many cards, they'll run out of life. That sounds like fun
to me!
Any ideas on other cards that would work with this kind of strategy, or
ways to make it effective? Or other ideas on how to use Malignant Growth to
do fun things? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Make sure you have the Oracle text with you so that your opponents
will believe that it affects all of them these days.

I used to play a Malignant Growth deck. I seem to recall using
Storm Seeker to great effect; the big problem was that my opponents
would often be able to kill me before the damage from the Growth was
a problem. There's a tricky balance to be found in making sure that
you're staying alive while the Malignant Growth does its thing. You
could go for even more pressure, with cards like Umbilicus and Megrim,
or directly with Underworld Dreams; you could try to stay around
longer and make the Growth cheaper to keep around with Power Conduit
and Sun Droplet.

I recently did something with Malignant Growth/ Power Conduit/
Lichenthrope but it never really got going properly; I'm now trying
Lichenthrope/ Death Pits of Rath/ Phantoms...

Random decks for casual >>>> complaining about "what card fits this deck
best?" :)

Sounds a lil like the 8E-only deck I was designing.. it was built on Howling
Mine, Planar Portal, Teferi's Puzzle Box, and Underworld Dreams. What about
tossing the Box and Dreams in there? Should make for lots of havoc :)

Well, if you want to expand that to standard, seems like Seizan, Perverter of
Truth + Underworld Dreams + Puzzle Box is a killer combo. I've been playing
Seizan + Dreams, and whenever I can get it out, I'm usually the winner.
Problem is getting it out....

Howling Mine would just be more damage for the opponents. Also, a nice combo
with the Mine I've noticed is Orb of Dreams.

Also, you want stuff to keep their damage off of you: Thunderstaff, Ensnaring
Bridge, etc. If you go with the Bridge, though, you'll want ways to get those
cards out of your hand: stuff like Chrome Mox (will help you get your cards
out early) and a good number of cheap spells, so you can keep that hand empty.

Also, if playing blue, you might want to try Chisei from the new set; it'll
keep those counters off the growth so you can hold on to it longer. I'd
probably play that over the bridge, but it is definitely one or the other.

Well I stuck to 8E-only; I actually had a list of about 30 decks or so I
think that we'd come up with for the format. The Underworld Dreams deck was
actually Green/Brown/black. The green was mostly I think Fertile Ground,
Vine Trellis, Birds of Paradise, and Rampant Growth, if memory serves me
right. Black's only reason for being in was the Underworld Dreams (four
copies I think). If I can find someone with a copy of the decklist, I'll
post it in here.
