Is there a way to control IRQ assignments with Windows 7? My research finds no way to do this. I have this problem with my current Windows XP install, where the graphics card, the Intel ICH9 chipset, and the x38 chipset all share the same frigging IRQ16. Basically all devices with the most data throughput all on the same channel. meanwhile, IRQ10 and 11 are unused, as are others... Of course the only way to fix that under XP is to reinstall with a non ACPI HAL, which is a pain and might cause more issues.
I'm hoping there's a smarter way to deal with it under Windows 7. Also, I won't get out of this by moving my graphics card to the second pcie slot, as I can only use the first one unless I setup SLI with two cards... Its my brilliant ASUS Rampage Formula
