[SOLVED] Manual says M2_2 slot supports SATA mode, though installed SSD isn't recognized

On motherboard ASUS TUF Gaming B450-PLUS II, manual says that the M2_2 slot supports both PCIe 2.0 x4 and SATA modes. I have installed a spare M2 SATA III SSD I had (model: WDS100T2B0B), which has B+M keys, into the M2_2 slot, but nor the BIOS or the operating system seem to recognize it.

The manual is available at https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...AMING_B450-PLUS_II_UM_print_updated091620.pdf, and the relevant section is "6. M.2 Slots (Key M)":

Is this a "copy-pasting" error from Asus or is there something I have to do in the BIOS for it to recognize my SSD?

Support web page spec sheet says, M2_2 supports NVME (PCIE) drives only). No mention of support for SATA drives.

Install SATA M.2 drive in slot M2_1 instead.
