I may have to replace a main board, and was looking to upgrade. I currently have DDR5 5600 sticks. The wording says "up to" 6600+(OC). Im mostly sure that my RAM would work, but I really like to see all the speeds listed. Just wanted to get thoughts from others on this.

New Board Memory:
- Dual Channel DDR5 Memory Technology
- 4 x DDR5 DIMM Slots
- Supports DDR5 non-ECC, un-buffered memory up to 6600+(OC)
- Max. capacity of system memory: 192GB
- Supports Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) and EXTended Profiles for Overclocking (EXPO) memory modules

Based on that, why wouldn't 5600 work in something that supports UP TO 6600+ (indicating they don't even know the top end)

Most motherboards have a QVL list of tested memory you can take a look at.

4x48GB max supported, likely not at 5600 speeds. How much memory do you intend to install? Most 2x16GB or 2x32GB kits are likely to work up pretty well into the 6400 range for AMD or Intel.

There is a new AGESA version for AMD that drastically improves maximum memory speeds, but I think still in Beta BIOS for most boards. Intel has been able to push up into the 7000s for a while now.

I have 64GB of 5600

Ram Spec:
G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 5600 Desktop Memory Model F5-5600J3636D32GX2-TZ5RK
  • Capacity: 64GB (2 x 32GB)
  • Type: 288-Pin DDR5 SDRAM
  • Speed: DDR5 5600
  • CAS Latency: 36
  • Color: Black
  • LED Color: RGB
  • Fan Included: No
Looked on ASrock and best description I could find was "up too". Ill see if I can try and find a QVL list for it. Thanks! I just wish they would put the full list on there!

Right there on the support page, you can see several Trident Z5 kits that were tested, even a 6000 kit, but not any 5600 kits. They can't test all the memory from every vendor, there are new SKUs constantly.

Didnt see that part of the page, thanks! First time in a long while doing troubleshooting. Old build is over a decade old and still going. Thanks!!! If I need to replace the board I will stick with the same model.
