Hello All,

I was wondering how can i map a network printer so that when all users sign in the network printer is available to all users?

Thanks,
Javanoob

Hello javanoob17

Can you please elaborate your network infra? I mean, do you have a domain environment where any Windows Server is acting as a Domain Controller, you are running a peer-to-peer network where the network printer is connected to one of the peers, or there is one network printer connected to a central device (a switch) and you want all the users of all the connected computers to access it seamlessly?

For domain environments, publishing your network printer in the Active Directory and then configuring the Default Domain Policy (or any other custom group policy that you have created) accordingly would allow you to make the printer available for the domain users of the entire domain

I think this post can help you configure your printer in any kind of network environment.

Feel free to report back for further assistance.

Cheers!! :)

Viveknayyar007,

I do desktop work, i am not an admin. The network is setup on a domain. The workstations are connected to the domain. There is a building i am in. The printers are connected to the domain. They are big fleet printers that are connected to the network. I want to login as an admin add the printer for everyone to use. I do not have access to their network infrastructure. The network is setup with roaming profiles so anyone can login to any of the computers on the campus.

I hope this helps to let you know what i am dealing with. I have seen something by adding by the port but i am not sure.

Thanks,
Javanoob
