Hi all,
Have a peer-to-peer network setup with the file server being Win2k and a few Win98SE machines. The Win2k machine and 1 of the Win98SE machines are sharing files. The Win98SE machines map serveral directories from the Win2k shares.
Problem is that if someone doesn't access a share (Win2k OR Win98SE share, via the mapped drive OR network neighborhood) from their Win98SE machine after x-amount of time, when they they try and access it Explorer freezes. Logging out and back in sometimes works, otherwise we have to reboot our machine (the machine that is attempting to access another machine).
😡 WTF is going on? Again, this is a peer-to-peer workgroup. I have the powersaving turned completely off (the monitors don't even turn off after x-amount of minutes).
Thanks,
